Currently working on a new blog incorporating design & creativity, small business experience, and what's coming next.
I grew up in the Midwest - a classic ’80s kid who loved horses, art, riding bikes until dark, and Nancy Drew mysteries.
Now I live on the East Coast, where I’m a wife, mom of five, and lifelong creative. After more than a decade growing a product-based company into a multi-million dollar brand, I’m turning toward what’s next: a slower rhythm, a more personal kind of beauty, and a deep desire to create without being consumed.
This is where I share what I’m building at home, in design, and in life with an eye toward freedom, creativity, and thoughtful living.
happening now
At work we're busy prepping for the biggest holiday launch of our company's history, and we're launching Netsuite! At home, we're savoring the end of summer. Our son is off to Clemson in the fall, and our family has a big change around the corner!
Do you love catching a glimpse of where others work? This is my sacred space. The cozy office I designed with my dream antique desk, and secondhand finds that make the space uniquely mine. This is where I sat endless hours in early January dreaming up our 2025 holiday launch for Old Whaling Co.
If you’re looking to create a space that feels layered and truly your own, I always suggest starting with antique shops, thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, estate and garage sales. The best pieces are rarely the most obvious ones. Start with one piece you truly love and build around it.

We've been honored to work with variety of local, regional and national press publications over the years. Here is a snapshot of our press coverage.
I'm april - i'm an infj to my core.
I’m more of a quiet conversationalist—the kind of person who doesn’t mind a little silence and prefers coffee over just about any food group. I’ll always choose a phone call over a Zoom, and home will always be my favorite place to be (especially in the fall).
I love decorating, art & crafting, photography, creating cozy, beautiful spaces, and making our home a meaningful place to land. I believe in the quiet power of a well-loved room and the joy of small seasonal details.
As a small business owner myself, I'm passionate about small business in general and I love sharing ideas, resources, and things I've learned over the years with others.
If you love intentional living, cozy interior spaces, creative business, or you’re just looking for something a little slower and more thoughtful, I’m glad you’re here.
